The company required an Android app to assist clients in remotely connecting to the support department. The concept involved providing an app where clients could open it and seamlessly connect to the FGS device using a Wi-Fi Dongle, facilitating remote support to browse the device itself.
Collaborating with the Engineering department, we worked together to understand their needs and identify problems that required solutions. They had already compiled this information clearly, which we validated, confirming the necessary information architecture to begin conceptualizing.
The primary objective for the app was to assist the support department in accessing the console while also providing clients with information about field temperature and weather conditions to aid decision-making. Once the concepts were validated through video calls, we initiated UI design. Although there was ample room for improvement, the initial version had to be launched quickly due to time constraints.
Using Sketch, I designed wireframes and prototypes, enabling the Engineering Department to test the design, user flow, and interactions through Sketch Cloud. All assets were uploaded to Zeplin for easy exportation.
